Poor Phil
One of the interesting things about writing this comic for me, especially with this series of strips, is I haven’t always known where it was going. I’ve written some of the story lines from start to finish, such as the “Is Chuckles Gay” storyline, but not this one. Pretty much every time I sat down to draw another comic, I wrote the next part of the story. And that’s when it got weird. I thought, if the first book of the Book of Gorman is called the book of Genesis, well, I might as well bring Phil Collins into this! I think maybe it’s a bit mean to make such fun of Phil, but is there any excuse for Against All Odds? I ask you, is there? I think NOT!
I’m invisibly touched by those last two panels.
It reaches in and grabs right hold of you!
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with Against all odds. I assume it’s a game show.
Oh silly me I just realised it’s Phil Collins & Against all odds is one of his songs.
So take a look at me now
my mind’s just an empty space
And there’s nothing left between my ears
my memory’s an empty place…
That’s the one! And now you’ve got it in my head! Thanks a lot Tony, ya Tasmanian bastard!! 🙂
Ya gotta admit “Against all odds” is a good game show name.
Now here’s your host Phil Collins!!!
I smell a joint Aussie/Canadian tv production! What should we call our production company, Tony?
