Believe it or not, Primate Posse™, but this comic is based on the truth. Winnipeg is not just the Slurpee Capital of Canada, according to 7/11, it is the Slurpee capital of the World! That is, more Slurpees are consumed here, per capita than any other place on earth. This is, of course, bizarre considering that it is freezing cold for 5 months of the year here! Anyway, I’d take a good ‘ol cup a joe over a slurpee anytime. Especially in the winter. But I agree with Gus, the things are too damn sweet!
I remember when we visited you guys in Wpg and we all went to the corner 7/11 for those awful Slurpee thing that you kids just adored. I just never did quite figured it out…….but I agree with Gus. I just don’t beleive we did that !!
Hey, at least I was just a kid! And wasn’t that in the summer? I don’t remember ever really having those in the winter, though I might have blocked it out of my mind. But yeah, I don’t get it anymore, that’s for sure!
Tell Gus that one of the advantages of having a Slurpee in the winter is that you can cut the sugar by just adding snow to suit your taste.
