Human rights for the other great apes? Sounds like an idea whose time has come! Although as a friend of mine pointed out, we might not want to give them the right to assemble, or we might be looking at a Planet of the Apes type scenario. Then again, this planet is being run by the hairless great apes, and look at what a mess we’re making of it! So maybe we should give the other apes a shot! Anyway, Primate Posse™, if you don’t know about it, do a google search for Tommy the Chimp and the quest to get him granted Legal Personhood!
Hey there Primate Posse™! Happy New Year and welcome to my first ‘toon of 2015. As you can see this comic references the terrible events in Paris last week. I titled it “I am NOT Charlie” because I fully admit to being afraid to draw Muhammad unlike the cartoonists at Charlie Hebdo. For that reason I am not Charlie. I hesitate to use the #Iamcharlie/#jesuischarlie hashtag on twitter, but have decided to use it to get my work out there in the world. I’d love to go into more depth, but I think the comic says all I need to say. Any thoughts, fellow ‘toonists?
Back again! Sorry for the delay in uploading another strip. It’s not an excuse, but I actually have a new job and I unexpectedly worked 7 straight days. Still planning to get back in the swing of things but probably not for a couple of weeks as I’m heading to the in-law’s next week. Also, I really need to write some new material! I gots nothin’ right now, though it shouldn’t be too hard to come up with some silly cultural or pop-cultural reference to tear to satirical shreds. We shall see!

Hey Primate Posse™! I’m baaaAAAck! I’ve missed cartooning so I’m hoping to get back to my weekly schedule. I promised to upload some of my art, so here’s my first ever oil painting on a canvas that I stretched and gessoed onto a stretcher that I built myself! I feel like it shows some potential! 🙂
On another note, almost all of the comments from that last strip I posted disappeared! So if you didn’t see your comment there and if I didn’t respond, I can tell you now – I have no idea where they went! 🙁
