Worse Than Foot Shaming?

Hey Primate Posse™, I have a question to direct at my fellow toonists. I’ve been inking with a Pentel brush pen – the kind that you refill with cartridges. I started using it after I lost my Windsor and Newton series 7 brush. Anyway, it’s been working quite well for me and I think I’m getting a fair bit better with it. But this comic was a disaster (please don’t even LOOK at those feet! – also I barely got this toon done for today). The pen started leaking out the side and then in the last panel, the ink started to bleed into the paper! You can actually see what I mean by the bleeding – I didn’t fix it in photoshop – probably should have, but I thought I’d let you all see it! It’s very strange. Btw, I use canson bristol board.

Any thought?

Feet Ain’t Perty!

Hey Primate Posse™, so yeah, this is really a thing. Well, the article I read did not call it “male foot shaming”, but it did suggest that men should never ever wear open toed shoes. I for one will not stand for it! It is my goal to wear Sandals from April till November. Of course, it would take an exceptionally warm early spring and fall for that to happen, but it’s always my goal! #noshoesforsummer

And sure, we have ugly feet. Deal with it! 🙂

Carl Sciences The Winter!

Well, Primate Posse™, this should be the last of the Winnipeg story line comics. I think you get it. It’s cold here. But I do want to point out that it’s February. If it was July – and I’m not making this up – Winnipeggers might be complaining about the heat! For realz!

No new comic this week.

Hey Primate Posse™, there will be no new comic this week. We lost our amazing cat Wellington unexpectedly last week and I didn’t do one. If you’ve ever read my bio you’ll know that he peed out of his belly. He had a bunch of surgeries when he was 4 and that’s what eventually happened to him. I’m so glad we spent that money on him because he got to live another 10 years plus a few months. But I was really hoping for at least another year or two because he was a very special cat who just seemed to love everyone and I really wanted him to help us break in our new house. We only moved in 3 months ago, so I guess that wasn’t meant to be. Needless to say I miss him a lot.

All this makes me wonder though, how do the syndicated tooners deal with this kind of thing? I guess they just have to push on and try to be funny. Needless to say I didn’t have to do that. I’ll be back next week.
