One of the interesting things about writing this comic for me, especially with this series of strips, is I haven’t always known where it was going. I’ve written some of the story lines from start to finish, such as the “Is Chuckles Gay” storyline, but not this one. Pretty much every time I sat down to draw another comic, I wrote the next part of the story. And that’s when it got weird. I thought, if the first book of the Book of Gorman is called the book of Genesis, well, I might as well bring Phil Collins into this! I think maybe it’s a bit mean to make such fun of Phil, but is there any excuse for Against All Odds? I ask you, is there? I think NOT!
So here is a comic that just doesn’t work if you’re from certain parts of the United States, such as Massachusetts where instead of pronouncing Aunt as “ant” they often pronounce it as “awnt”. So anyway, make sure you read it as “ant” and that should do the trick! 🙂
